2015 Chamber Seminar Powerful, Professional Communication
Powerful, Professional Communication
This Cullman Area Chamber Workshop will feature communication consultant Mona Hopper. Attendees can expect to learn a variety of tips to improve their verbal as well as nonverbal communication.
Participants will learn how to make a positive first impression, create a commanding presence, develop an attention-getting voice, rid themselves of stage fright, and improve their overall public speaking and communication skills. This workshop will assist those who suffer from severe stage fright to those who merely wish to improve their voice and diction and presentation styles. Participants will leave this workshop more confident, articulate, and poised community leaders.
Our presenter, Mona Hopper, is a private communication consultant and a retired educator. She spent thirty-one years teaching English, speech, drama, and journalism on both the high school and college level. She served her last six years in education as a full-time speech faculty member at Wallace State Community College.
Mona presently facilitates communication workshops and seminars for educational institutions, companies, and businesses. She also serves as a private coach for students and adults preparing for job or scholarship interviews as well as for those preparing for public speaking presentations. Her field of expertise includes coaching for proper voice and diction as well as accent modification. Her many years in the communication field give Mona Hopper a keen insight in the importance of effective verbal and nonverbal communication.
